During your massage
In my sessions, I treat the whole body including your belly if you would like to. Some mothers want that deep work in those areas that really cause discomfort such as shoulders and upper back. There is stretching, deep breathing that helps to bring release and calmness.
I take into consideration the information provided prior to our first session and work within strict guidelines to maintain your wellbeing and that of your baby.
During your personalized massage, I customize various techniques to ensure the best outcome for your relaxation and wellbeing. I use a range of oils from almond, grape seed to coconut oils. If you would prefer other oils, please let me know in advance.
The real highlight is when the pregnant mother just breaths out all her tension. Most women like to talk but eventually become quiet and fall into a relaxing sleep.
When the session is complete and she is making the most of the time she has left. She is alone, quite and relaxed. She is present with her baby and body, feeling lighter and energized.
Ultimately, you will sleep better than you have in a long time, feel more energized, breath better, your posture will improve and so will those achy ailments.
“Udy’s massages made such a difference to helping me approach the birth with more confidence and calm, not just physically but also mentally and emotionally.”
As you enter into motherhood and is whisked into the routine of baby. It is common that we just lose ourselves from these challenges. Depending on the nature of your labor and birth of your baby(ies). A postnatal massage can be booked in as soon as a few days or a week or so.
I often see mothers breastfeed in the most uncomfortable positions due to trying to attach baby to the breast. The body is often neglected to achieve these goals and soon the experience of aches and pains in the shoulder and back increase.
Postnatal massage helps relieves these symptoms also giving a ‘me time’ for the mother to just reconnect with her body promoting relaxation and relieving anxiety and stress. In my massage sessions, I give mothers an awareness of their bodies, through simple breathing techniques during and at the ending of each session. A powerful tool that can be used daily during the postnatal period.
Abdominal massage is also given during the session if she wishes. This assists the uterus and organs back to place and helps with elimination of blood after birth and circulation. After months of change to the women’s body, the abdomen slowly adjusts to the ‘empty’ space and it is important to nurture and support this area with constant Arvigo abdominal womb massage and belly binding.
This will help in the healing and also with conditions such as diastasis recti, gives good posture which is beneficial for breastfeeding.
For my pregnancy massage clients, I do a home service. I have always felt the best massage is when you are in the comfort of your home, relaxed and comfortable. Once the session is done you can just relax or climb into bed and take a nap. Most do. That extra time saved on travelling makes all the difference to the enjoyment and benefit of your massage.
I bring my massage own table and boosters to accommodate your belly. All that is required from you are a few extra towels and pillows for extra comfort.
